Yasmeen Elhalaby, BSc, DPT, Cert MDT completed her Bachelor’s degree in Science with a specialty in Kinesiology from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario Canada. She continued to further her education by completing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at D’Youville University pursuing an advanced orthopedic certificate during her time there. Yasmeen is currently pursuing a Residency Program in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy which emphasizes comprehensive evidence-based research, critical thinking, and advanced techniques to address orthopedic conditions. Yasmeen practices using the most up to date clinical practice guidelines and believes in patient centered care promoting patient self-efficacy and independence. As a former athlete in swimming and rowing and a current athlete as a roller derby player she strongly believes in return to function and how physical therapy can promote this as well as allow for preventative care/self-management.
